BLACK SWAMP ARTS FESTIVAL AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS
Two Bowling Green High Schools Students Receive Honors

The Black Swamp Arts Festival Committee awarded its annual arts scholarships to two Bowling Green High School seniors at a 2007 scholarship ceremony.

Chelsie Thomas received the $250 award for visual arts and Nicole Makley received the $250 award for performing arts. A scholarship selection committee at the high school evaluated the nominations and rewarded the scholarships to the most qualified candidates based on future interest and past performance in an arts-related area.

The scholarships were presented by David Shaffer, Black Swamp Arts Festival Vice Chair, at the Bowling Green High School Senior Scholarship Program.

In an effort to further promote the arts within the community, the Black Swamp Arts Festival Committee will continue to sponsor an annual scholarship for Bowling Green High School students.
