15 YEARS AND COUNTING!
Sky Bank to Continue as Presenting Sponsor

BOWLING GREEN, OHIO – 2007 marks the 15th anniversary of the Black Swamp Arts Festival in downtown Bowling Green. It also marks a nearly decade long, $100,000 commitment from Sky Bank as the Festival’s Presenting Sponsor.

“Sky Bank has been a wonderful supporter of the Festival,” said Todd Ahrens, past Festival Chairman and current Chairman of the Festival’s Development Committee. “I’ve been involved with the Festival since 1998, and Sky has been a great community partner. Along with others, they have helped us achieve financial stability.”

Sky Bank became the Festival’s Presenting Sponsor in 1999. Huntington Bank was the Presenting Sponsor for the Festival’s first six years and recently announced its intent to merge with Sky.

Despite the pending merger, Sky will continue to support the Festival in 2007. “We are extremely proud of our sponsorship of the Black Swamp Arts Festival over the past nine years,” commented Sharon Speyer, regional president for Sky Bank in northwest Ohio. “It has been a venue to show our support for the Bowling Green community and we are excited to continue that support again in 2007.”

A check presentation for the 2007 Presenting Sponsorship will take place on April 6, 2007, at Sky Bank’s financial center at 222 South Main Street in downtown Bowling Green.

In addition to Sky Bank’s 2007 Presenting Sponsorship, the Festival is pleased to announce its continued partnership with Time Warner Cable, which will again sponsor the Festival’s Youth Art Area and Stage. The Festival is currently seeking other sponsorships and grants, and will conduct its Friends of the Festival campaign later this spring.

“The Festival is fortunate to have such generous community partners and friends,” added Ahrens. “It’s 15 years and counting thanks to hundreds of individuals and businesses as well as our major sponsors like Sky Bank, Time Warner Cable, and the Ohio Arts Council.”

The 2007 Festival will take place September 7-9 in downtown Bowling Green.
